The problem is that I'm not -totally- in love with the pattern, so I have been dragging my feet on getting the second sock done.
What I WANT to work on is Endpaper Mitts, I even had the yarn all set to go and everything. Then I noticed that both the sock and the mitts were to be done on the same size needle.
So my big idea was; cast on for the sock. So that if I wanted to get the mitts done, I HAD to finish the second sock!
Well, this was all well and good until I got all the way through the cuff and realized that I had cast on too many stitches and I would have to frog all of it and start again. ARGH!
I got so angry that I just frogged it all and pushed it off to the side :P
I'm sure my grumpiness at the project will pass and I'll get back to it one day.
Until then, the first completed sock isn't going to waste!
It's making a fantastic needle holder.
And I've moved on to the mitts. :D
For x-mas presents for my brother and dad, I gave them a choice of a knit garment; they could pick what they want and what colour it should be.
David's asked for some gloves to match a black knit cap he got from Santa, and Dad's asked for a hat (blue)
So I'm sure those will be gotten to soon!
