Hanging out on the wires the past few days. A Black-Faced Cuckoo-Shrike (phew! Long name!)
When seeing a new bird, I usually ask my Uncle when he's around. He took one look and said "that's a bluebird."
I went "No it's not, bluebirds are in North America... besides, that bird isn't even blue! It's gray!"
He insisted it was called a bluebird so we looked him up in the book, and he's a cuckoo-shrike.
I suppose that gray can be deceptively blue depending on the light.
Either way, they are very striking birds. And (happily) one of the (few) birds around that don't have an annoying bird-call. :P
