I was exploring around the rock pools with my niece and brother today just after low tide (we weren't swimming since currently there's a billion and ten jellyfish in the waters; not the stingy-kill-you-dead type, non-stinging clear and gooey type, but gawddamn is it freaky to go swimming with them..)
Anyways!
So we were poking around the rock pools instead and guess what we came across?
AN OCTOPUS!
I'm 90% sure it wasn't the little blue ringed kill-you-dead kind, but it was small and absolutely beautiful and I'm am (still!) SO EXCITED!
My first wild octopus siting.
Of course, wouldn't you know it... I didn't have my camera with me :(
(ALWAYS CARRY YOUR CAMERA, KATE!)
But now that I kind of know where to look I might go back sometime in the next couple of days around low tide and see what I can come up with.
OMG OCTOPI!!
